Celebrex Information:

Celebrex (celecoxib) is a prescription medication used to treat pain and inflammation caused by conditions such as arthritis, osteoarthritis and other forms of rheumatoid arthritis or ankylosing spondylitis (a disease affecting the spine). It belongs to a group of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works by blocking the production of prostaglandins, which cause pain and inflammation, and can decrease the production of other substances in the body such as painkillers and pain relievers. Celebrex has been shown to be effective in reducing pain and inflammation, making it a valuable treatment option for conditions such as pain, stiffness, swelling and swelling, and rheumatoid arthritis.

In addition to the benefits listed above, Celebrex is available as an oral capsule. The recommended starting dose is one capsule a day, but you should take it at the same time every day. If you are taking other medications or have other health problems, Celebrex should only be taken under the supervision of a healthcare professional and should not be combined with other pain medications. To reduce the risk of side effects, Celebrex may be prescribed in certain circumstances.

There are no guarantees about the safety of Celebrex in children. As with any medication, there are risks to consider. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

If you have been prescribed Celebrex to treat a condition, your doctor will likely perform some tests to confirm Celebrex is safe for you to use. Be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist about all the prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications, vitamins, herbs, and supplements you are taking, as well as any medications you are using or taking recently. It is important to tell your doctor and pharmacist all of your prescription and OTC medications before you start taking Celebrex.

If your doctor determines that Celebrex is not an effective treatment for you, your doctor may advise you to stop taking Celebrex and see a doctor right away. Stopping Celebrex suddenly can have serious effects and can result in your body releasing too much of the drug.
